Cern Visit

For those interested in taking Physics A level, the Physics department organise a visit to CERN (Switzerland), which is the site of the ‘The Large Hadron Collider’.
The work carried out at CERN is of particular interest to budding physicists and chemists, as it includes areas relevant to their A level courses.
All participants fly out from Heathrow airport to Geneva, and return later the same day.
Although the visit does make for a long day, the feedback from staff and pupils are full of praise.
A lot has happened at CERN in the past, a lot is going on now, and there is also the sheer excitement of the adventure itself.
The trip is organised to run in October.
