  • Road Works - Royal Lane

London Borough of Hillingdon have commissioned works to start Monday 9 May and lasting up to four weeks.

The works will include construction of nine, raised tables (humps) along the whole length of Royal Lane, from Pield Heath Road to Uxbridge Road, with one of those tables incorporating the existing pedestrian crossing, by our South Gate.  That stretch of Royal Lane will then become a permanent, 20mph zone.

This side of half term, at certain times of the day, traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights.

During the half term week the road will be fully closed to vehicles (except residential access).

This work will ensure the safety of our students and we welcome the speed restrictions. Please can parents take extra care during this busy time and are advised to allow extra time if travelling by car to school.  It is likely to be even more congested during the works, please take extra care.

As a Performing Arts College the range of music, dance and drama activities we offer is truly outstanding. This has been publicly recognised as we are one of the few schools nationally to have been awarded ArtsMark Gold on four consecutive occasions.

We have a passionate teaching team who are firmly committed to the Arts and the personal, cultural, social and spiritual enrichment opportunities it offers.  We believe that involvement in the Arts in the broadest sense encourages students to develop as individuals and nurtures life long learning.

As a Performing Arts College the range of music, dance and drama activities we offer is truly outstanding. This has been publicly recognised as we are one of the few schools nationally to have been awarded ArtsMark Gold on four consecutive occasions.

Our Arts College status means that:

• we continue to provide the full national curriculum but can offer special opportunities in the Arts and run an extensive range of extra curricular arts activities

• our students benefit from the highest quality arts accommodation, technology and resources

• we provide regular engagement with practitioners from across the Arts fields through workshops, trips, visiting speakers and Bishopshalt Arts Alumni who return to share their experiences in the professional arts world
