Information for Students

 

The Hawkins LRC/Library is the main school library and occupies a central position on the first floor of the school next to the Staffroom. 
 
There is seating for 52 students; 32 seats at custom-built computer benching and 20 seats at tables.
 
Students are welcome in the Hawkins LRC all day and may use the LRC before and after school and during morning break and lunchtimes to select books, do homework, and read quietly or to use the computers for school work. Small groups may also use the LRC during lessons to carry out research for project work.
 
The LRC supports the English Department and students in years 7-9 have one English reading /information skills lesson in the LRC every two weeks.
