WHAT IS SOCIOLOGY?
Sociology is the study of human society. It embraces a variety of viewpoints in order to increase our understanding of the world around us. Sociology looks at social structures (Family, Education), social processes (Socialisation, Social Control) and social issues (power, inequality). It uses a unique range of concepts to apply to human society.
