The English department is a team of 11 staff, 9 full time and 2 part time. We are a young, enthusiastic team who are committed to offering students a wide range of methods to fully engage students across all Key Stages. At the heart of everything we do is to instil a love and appreciation for all types of English – from literature to creative writing, modern communications to speaking and listening, our aim is for students to explore and appreciate English for the wide topic that it is in today’s society, whilst realising that wherever you go, English will always be a part of you.
Perhaps THE most important part from Mr. Wood's assembly this morning about mental health: You are not alone. You are NEVER alone. There is always help where you need it. And mental health isn't something to look after for a day; look after it EVERY day.
Final speaking and listening exams today - it's been a VERY busy week!
Y11 - get using that PixL Lit app! We're not saying we're going to go all Terminator-like and hunt the ones who aren't using it down, but Mr Wood's got sunglasses, Mrs Seager can do an Austrian accent brilliantly and Miss Springthorpe can get a motorbike. Your call... https://t.co/SVksZb0bfp
It's been FAR too long... So here's some more bridging work, this time from Lion Morina about 'The Boy at the Top of the Mountain'! https://t.co/Oi2wQoFTOZ
That time of year again... Good luck to our students undertaking their speaking and listening exams this week!
