RISE Visitor Event

Bishopshalt will share our seven-year school improvement journey, from a school where Progress 8 hovered around zero for over half a decade to one where Progress 8 now sits above 1, with little to no gap between disadvantaged, SEN, and other pupil groups.

Visiting schools will see how we've achieved this through an ambitious, knowledge-rich, coherently sequenced curriculum; consistent, evidence-informed pedagogy; and a rigorous, responsive assessment system. We'll explain our approach to co-planning and shared resources across departments, our CPD and coaching cycle, and our new staff induction and ECT programmes.

We'll also cover our behaviour and attendance systems, which protect curriculum time and uphold consistently high expectations for every student, regardless of background. Underpinning all of this is our quality-of-education improvement cycle: learning walks, book looks, peer observations, and a fortnightly QoE team meeting that drives whole-school teaching and learning priorities. Visitors will leave with practical, transferable strategies for raising outcomes and closing gaps.
