Post 16 Pathways
After Year 11 you have a choice of pathways to choose from but "raising the participation" age means you must continue in education or training until you are 18. It does not mean you have to stay in school. You can choose from one of the following options:
- Full time education such as school or college
- Work-based learning via an apprenticeship

Further Education Colleges
There are a number of colleges within the area and you can apply to more than one. Where you choose will depend on what you want to study, entry requirements and travel times. Check the websites for details of Open Days and Taster Events.
