Cecil De Salis Award
All students who have completed their A levels at Bishopshalt are invited to apply for a De Salis Bursary worth £500. The Bursary is available when you take a university place having either, secured two As and a B (or better at A2 level) or have secured good results and have made a significant contribution to the life of the school.
The Cecil de Salis Scholarship Trust Fund was bequeathed by Sir Cecil de Salis K.C.B., a former Chairman of Governors, friend and benefactor of Bishopshalt School. The terms of the Trust deeds state that the income arising from the fund will be used to award discretionary scholarships to former students of Bishopshalt School who hold a place at a university or equivalent institution.

Sixth Form Bursary
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a scheme to help young people facing financial hardship to stay on in full time education after Year 11. To apply for a bursary, you should complete the form below. Applications for this academic year must be returned by end of September and handed in to the Sixth Form Administrator who will check the correct documentation has been provided. To apply, please collect an application form from Room 2.
Bishopshalt's Bursary Policy hereThe value of the Bursary is dependent on personal and/or family circumstances and students may apply for a:
- Full Bursary (£1200 per academic year) for those most in need of financial support.
- 16-19 Bursary Fund is a means tested grant available for those in need of finance to help them meet specific costs to enable them to stay in education and complete their courses e.g. transport, equipment, fieldwork costs. Awards are dependent on individual circumstances.
